About the Role:
- We are seeking a results-driven Health and Safety Manager to develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal guidelines.
- This role involves preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety, as well as evaluating practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- The successful candidate will conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention, monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations, and investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker compensation claims.
- Key responsibilities include recommending solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures, as well as reporting on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
About You:
- You will have proven experience as a safety manager, along with a deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
- Able to produce reports and develop relevant policies, you should also possess good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills, outstanding attention to detail, and exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for this role.
- A BSc/ safety management or relevant field is preferred, as is a valid qualification in occupational health and safety.
