About the Role:

We seek a resourceful and skilled Digital SEO Strategist to spearhead the development of a powerful, organic content engine at Gallabox. As we enter a critical growth stage, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital presence.

Your responsibilities will include keyword research, optimizing website content, analyzing performance metrics, and staying up-to-date with search engine algorithms and best practices. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to achieve your objectives.

Gallabox is based in Chennai and this is a work-from-office role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keyword Research
    • Conduct thorough research to identify high-performing keywords and phrases relevant to our target audience.
    • Analyze keyword trends and adjust strategies to align with market demands.
  • On-page Optimization
    • Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and images to improve search engine rankings.
    • Ensure website content is high-quality, relevant, and engaging for users.
  • Technical SEO
    • Perform site audits to identify and resolve technical issues affecting search engine performance.
    • Optimize website structure, URL structure, and internal linking for better crawlability and indexing.
  • Off-Page SEO
    • Develop and execute link-building strategies to enhance the website's authority and credibility.
    • Monitor and manage the website's backlink profile to prevent and address any harmful links.
  • Content Strategy
    • Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content that attracts and retains users.
    • Provide guidelines and recommendations for content creation and optimization.
  • Analytics and Reporting
    • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools to track website performance and user behavior.
    • Generate and present regular reports on SEO performance, traffic, rankings, and other key metrics.
  • Stay Updated
    • Keep up with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
    • Adapt strategies and tactics to align with evolving search engine guidelines and industry changes.
  • Competitor Analysis
    • Monitor and analyze competitors' SEO strategies and performance.
    • Identify opportunities and threats based on competitive analysis.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in SEO, preferably in B2B/SaaS.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • A strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools and platforms (including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs).
  • Experience with content management systems (bonus points for Webflow).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A strong understanding of the SEO practices across different global regions.
