Regulatory Operations Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert regulatory guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting comprehensive audits and reviews of banking products to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments, changes, and updates.
  3. Collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement effective regulatory strategies and controls.
  4. Providing guidance and support to staff on regulatory matters, including risk assessment and mitigation.
  5. Developing and maintaining robust internal control frameworks for banking products.
  6. Implementing and tracking regulatory circulars, with a specific focus on KYC-related guidelines.
  7. Preparing and submitting regulatory reports as per jurisdictional guidelines.
  8. Reviewing, validating, and reconciling data sources used for regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  9. Conducting periodic reviews to ensure customer onboarding and lifecycle management processes align with regulatory standards.
  10. Supporting the development and implementation of business continuity plans.
  11. Staying informed about emerging trends and technologies in the field of regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and regulatory affairs, with excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or Post-graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards, particularly in the area of KYC/AML.
  • Proven experience in regulatory operations, preferably in a banking environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
