Job Opportunity: Cyber Security Researcher

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on emerging threats and technologies, evaluating their impact on our organization's security posture, and providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct research on cyber threats, including threat intelligence, vulnerability analysis, and risk assessment.
  2. Evaluate emerging technologies, such as cloud security, AI-powered security platforms, and zero-trust networks, to identify potential benefits and challenges.
  3. Analyze network traffic, logs, and other data sources to identify security incidents and provide expert-level support in incident response efforts.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration on security initiatives.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in information security to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of security innovation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in research and development or security operations.
  • Strong understanding of cyber threats, security protocols, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Any relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH, would be an asset.
