Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Umanist Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure and tools needed to support the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Streamline software delivery by designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage and Optimize Cloud-Based Infrastructure: Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and services.
  • Automate Provisioning, Configuration, and Deployment: Automate the provisioning, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure and applications.
  • Develop and Maintain Monitoring, Logging, and Alerting Systems: Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance of production systems.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient and scalable architecture.
  • Implement and Maintain Security Measures: Implement and maintain security measures across infrastructure and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Infrastructure and Deployment Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Conduct Performance and Reliability Testing: Conduct performance and reliability testing of infrastructure and applications.
  • Manage and Support Containerization and Orchestration Technologies: Manage and support containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Implement and Manage Networking Configurations and Protocols: Implement and manage networking configurations and protocols.
  • Provide Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in On-Call Rotation and Incident Response Activities: Participate in on-call rotation and incident response activities.
  • Stay Current with Industry Best Practices and Emerging Technologies: Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven Experience in a DevOps or Related Role: Proven experience in a DevOps or related role.
  • Deep Understanding of Cloud Computing Services: Deep understanding of cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in Scripting and Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code Tools: Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Chef).
  • Strong Grasp of CI/CD Concepts and Tools: Strong grasp of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Hands-On Experience with Containerization Technologies: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid Understanding of Networking Principles and Protocols: Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of Security Best Practices and Tools: Knowledge of security best practices and tools for infrastructure and application security.
  • Expertise in Monitoring and Logging Tools: Expertise in monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana).
  • Ability to Troubleshoot and Optimize Complex Distributed Systems: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex distributed systems.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or similar are a plus.
