Lead Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Backend Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Python-based applications. As a Tech Head, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing solutions using containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate should have advanced skills in Python development, a strong background in MongoDB, Redis, Fast API, and containerization tools. Additionally, they should have experience with data platforms including Impala for high-performance querying and Autosys for job scheduling.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable backend systems using Python and containerization tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate React-based frontends and backend services.
  • Work with data platforms including Impala and Autosys to ensure high-performance querying and efficient job scheduling.
  • Mentor and manage a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of total experience, 10+ years hands-on experience with last 5-6 years into advanced Python development and design patterns.
  • Strong experience in MongoDB, Redis, Fast API, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of React Framework and frontend-backend integration.
  • Familiarity with Impala, Autosys, and distributed systems.
  • Prior experience in the banking or financial services domain is mandatory.

This role requires a strong technical leader who can drive agile development practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) while liaising with stakeholders from banking operations, risk, and compliance to align technical solutions with business needs.
