Overview

Our organization is seeking a skilled software engineer to lead and manage our backend development team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Node.js, Express, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as experience with database design and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of existing backend projects and drive them forward with minimal ramp-up time.
  • Lead the design and development of new features, systems integrations, and refactoring projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including frontend, DevOps, QA, and product.
  • Manage the technical backlog, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in Node.js, Express, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Proficient in database design and management, with experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven experience with monolithic to microservices transition, API design (REST & GraphQL), and secure authentication systems.
  • Strong understanding of clean code principles, SOLID, DRY, and test-driven development.
  • Experience with architectural patterns, including event-driven architecture, de-coupled systems, and service-oriented design.
