Job Title: Financial Operations Coordinator

The role of the Financial Operations Coordinator is to oversee and manage all financial functions within the organization.

Key responsibilities include managing cash receipts, posting customer payments, investigating unallocated cash receipts, reconciling discrepancies between billing and accounting systems, reviewing and approving vendor invoices and payment schedules, overseeing reconciliation of vendor statements, providing expert guidance on resolving accounting discrepancies, reviewing and approving various reconciliations, supervising the accounting team, verifying accuracy of reports, and participating in process audits.

Additionally, the Financial Operations Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring overdue accounts using aging reports, initiating follow-ups with customers, escalating unresolved accounts to management when necessary, sending timely payment reminders, negotiating payment arrangements, maintaining detailed records of customer interactions and updates in the collections system, managing escalated collections cases, providing regular status reports on collections, and ensuring collections targets are consistently met.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, experience with Great Plains or similar accounting/general ledger systems, familiarity with SLA reporting and client-specific billing practices, strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, leadership and mentoring skills to effectively manage and develop junior staff, excellent organizational and time-management abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills in English, problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to improving processes, up to 2-3 years of accounting experience, hands-on experience in AR, AP, collections, or billing, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with Great Plains or similar accounting/general ledger systems.
  • Familiarity with SLA reporting and client-specific billing practices (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills to effectively manage and develop junior staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
  • Up to 2-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience in AR, AP, collections, or billing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
