Job Description

This is a long-term contract position with a global technology leader. We are seeking a Senior Observability Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable observability platforms, driving adoption of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tooling, and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Architecting scalable, secure, and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Leading APM adoption with standardized instrumentation and deployment models.
  • Defining onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring.
  • Integrating observability tooling to deliver unified insights.
  • Evaluating emerging technologies and developing custom synthetic monitoring solutions where needed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring, driving documentation, training, and cross-team knowledge sharing to strengthen monitoring practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools (Catchpoint, Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
