Robotics Specialist

About the Role

Redrob is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer in Robotics to lead the integration and application of KUKA robotic systems for the trimming of composite materials.

This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and ensure high-quality output in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and optimize KUKA robots for the precise trimming of composite materials, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines
• Analyze existing trimming processes and implement robotic solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality control
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians on robotic applications and best practices
• Work closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of robotics into existing workflows
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to robotic systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of programming changes, process improvements, and technical specifications. Prepare regular reports on project status and outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in robotics, with a focus on KUKA systems preferred
• Proficiency in robotic programming languages (e.g., KRL)
• Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software and robotics simulation tools
• Familiarity with composite materials and their processing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
