Databricks Cloud Platform Administrator

We are seeking a seasoned Databricks expert to play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our data platform.

  • Monitor and maintain Databricks jobs, troubleshoot issues, and guarantee platform stability.
  • Manage access controls, provide production support for Databricks environments, and collaborate with data engineers and platform teams.
  • Proactively monitor system health, resource utilization, and performance metrics, and implement archival/retention policies for Databricks storage.

Key Responsibilities:

As a highly skilled Databricks administrator, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining Databricks jobs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the reliability of the platform. You will also manage access controls, provide production support for Databricks environments, and collaborate with data engineers and platform teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native services, SRE or production support environments, and proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
  • Familiarity with Power BI/Tableau for building monitoring and cost dashboards, and knowledge of CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and scripting languages.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years in data engineering, cloud operations, or database administration.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, communicate effectively, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
