We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to lead the procurement activities within our cosmetics division.
This role demands strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and operational efficiency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials, packaging items, and consumables for cosmetic product manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and procuring high-quality raw materials, packaging items, and consumables in alignment with production schedules and inventory forecasts.
- Preparing, issuing, and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality parameters.
- Negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and quality parameters with existing and new vendors to optimize cost savings and supply chain efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate procurement documentation and vendor records for audits and inspections.
- Collaborating with QA/QC departments to ensure incoming materials meet defined specifications.
- Monitoring stock levels and reorder points using ERP systems to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
- Coordinating logistics and delivery timelines to avoid production delays.
- Evaluating vendor performance based on price, quality, and delivery metrics; identifying alternative sources when needed.
- Contributing to cost-saving initiatives, price benchmarking, and procurement process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Science, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of cosmetics/pharma raw materials (emulsifiers, preservatives, fragrances).
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and cosmetic-specific regulatory procurement processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and inventory tools.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under tight production timelines.
- Team collaboration and coordination with cross-functional departments.
- Communication skills in English and Hindi are mandatory; Kannada and Marathi are preferred.
