Financial Accountant Position

This role involves overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. The ideal candidate combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

The primary responsibilities include reconciling account balances, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. Additionally, the accountant will verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts, produce error-free accounting reports, and present their results.

The accountant duties also include analyzing financial information, summarizing financial status, spotting errors, suggesting ways to improve efficiency and spending, reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

A strong understanding of US GAAP principles is required, along with experience with general ledger functions, accounting software packages like Xero and QuickBooks, and advanced MS Excel skills.

The ideal candidate should possess accuracy and attention to detail, aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an accountant
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • In-depth understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Xero and QuickBooks
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) will be preferred
