Job Role

The Corporate Counsel position within the Legal Department is a critical role that demands a legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and advisory services.

This position requires a candidate who can provide legal & compliance solutions to business, working closely with skilled members of the legal team to achieve this goal.

  • Key responsibilities include monitoring risk and compliance issues, implementing mitigation/remediation solutions, and providing guidance on policies, SOPs, and guidelines related to regulatory compliance.
  • The successful candidate will also advise on data protection and privacy legislations, including the EU GDPR, and support cyber security compliance and risk management initiatives.
  • In addition, the Corporate Counsel will be responsible for advising on immigration laws in various regions, reviewing policy documents, and collaborating with external vendors on resilience building measures.

Qualifications:

LLB/LLM along with relevant experience as compliance counsel, preferably in multinational corporations.

Required skills:

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, including those relating to Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Immigration, and Mobility.
  • Independent project management, stakeholder interaction, and review/audit exercises in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve moderately complex issues, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
