Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Job Description:
  • Lead a high-performing team of skilled software engineers and architects to develop, deliver, and maintain scalable software solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Guide the team in designing, developing, and deploying robust Java-based applications using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Mentor and coach team members, promote career growth, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Collaborate with product owners to translate business needs into technical strategies, roadmaps, and actionable development plans.
  • Establish standards for design, development, testing, and documentation across the engineering team.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align on technical approaches, improve code reuse, and share best practices.
  • Represent the team in meetings, forums, and discussions with customers and stakeholders.
  • Drive performance management, resource planning, and recruitment strategies for a growing engineering team.
  • Identify technical risks and create proactive strategies to mitigate them.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in software engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring and coaching engineers. They should have a deep understanding of object-oriented design, data modeling, and relational databases, as well as hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years leading high-impact development teams.
  • Proven success delivering enterprise-grade applications in cloud or distributed systems environments.
  • Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset-ready to learn, adapt, and lead through change.
