AI Research Scientist Job Description

Our mission is to maximize human potential with decision AI, combining multi-agent architectures, generative AI, deep learning, evolutionary AI, and trustworthy techniques to create sophisticated decision-making systems.

We support this goal through scientific publications, open-source software, AI for Good projects, and our Cognizant Neuro AI decisioning platform and Multi-Agent Accelerator.

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and driven AI Research Scientist to join our Advanced AI R&D lab team in India, working collaboratively with other researchers, engineers, business stakeholders, architects, and domain experts to translate research breakthroughs into scalable products and solutions.

As an AI Research Scientist, you will focus on advancing the state-of-the-art AI with emphasis on Generative AI, LLMs, and domain-specific AI solutions, conducting advanced research in AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and adjacent fields.

You will work with the Advanced AI Labs research team to understand and push the frontiers of AI, using core technologies such as LLMs, evolutionary algorithms, and other machine learning and AI techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize models and algorithms involving novel architecture and training methodologies and advance AI capabilities.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams, AI engineers, domain SMEs, and client teams to transition research prototypes into production-ready solutions.
  • Contribute to open-source communities through active GitHub engagement.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI.
  • Mentor junior researchers and engineers.
  • Advise AI engineers on the development of practical applications.
