Indian Culinary Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian culinary specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regional Indian flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes from various regions, including North Indian, South Indian, Mughlai, and Tandoor.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of food, adhering to high standards.
  • Supervise and guide junior chefs in kitchen operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following HACCP and food safety guidelines.
  • Manage inventory and communicate ingredient requirements.
  • Train junior staff on Indian cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a senior chef or equivalent role in Indian cuisine.
  • Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking methods.
  • Ability to lead a section independently.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Culinary diploma or certification from a recognized institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen with a focus on Indian cuisine.
  • Experience working in hotels, resorts, or high-end restaurants is an advantage.
