Senior Accountant Role

This is a senior accounting role that requires expertise in financial management, auditing, and compliance. The position will support US GAAP accounting, local GAAP accounting, and tax compliance for Intuit entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive month and quarter-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead local statutory audits, prepare statutory financial statements, and assess risks over accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, maintain account reconciliations, and research company positions on technical accounting issues.
  • In partnership with the Internal Controls team, ensure robust internal controls of subsidiaries and comply with corporate policies.
  • Support compliance and improve processes and internal controls in the area of responsibility.
  • Stay current on evolving Accounting Standards pronouncements and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies.
Tax Compliance Responsibilities
  • Preparation of tax calculations, estimates, and reports accruals, advance tax computations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all corporate tax & GST returns for Intuit entity.
  • Support Tax Team in managing India tax matters & regional initiatives.
  • Liaise with tax consultants in effective and on time filing of reply to various notices, orders of direct tax assessments.

To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in Accountancy, CA/CPA qualification, and 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, book close process, direct and indirect tax compliances.

  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, withholding tax, regular tax compliance, transfer pricing, CbyC report, GST and other tax compliances.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and experience with Oracle R12 or similar systems.
