Senior Frontend Developer Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team and play a key role in shaping the rapidly growing technology proposition.

The chosen individual will be responsible for technical seniority, supporting technology consulting projects, identifying and advising on suitable solutions for clients.

You will have a track record of designing and delivering high-quality digital solutions over the last 7+ years and have a keen interest in the application of technology in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, maintainable code while helping to define coding standards and conventions.
  • Advocate for developer experience and continually improve it.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Lead and influence the technical design, architecture, and development of digital projects.
  • Work closely with Engineering Managers, Leads, and Product Managers to understand problems and define technical scope.
  • Set up software development frameworks for release management, automation, code quality, and source control.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js with experience in Node.js desirable.
  • Experience in a CI/CD environment using Circle CI, GitHub actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • An appreciation of DevOps and platform engineering culture.
  • Experience in agile development practices, continuous integration, and test automation via unit, integration, contract, and E2E testing.
  • Observing performance and health via Grafana, Prometheus, Data Dog, Sentry, etc.
  • Desire for performant applications and proactive problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain solutions and collaborate effectively.
  • Building services for high-traffic systems is desirable.
