Welding Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Welding Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge and expertise in welding processes, materials, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing welding procedures for various steel types, including carbon, alloy, stainless, and high tensile steels.
  • Ensuring adherence to national and international codes and standards for boilers, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
  • Maintaining synergy with customers and third-party vendors through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent grasping power and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of welding-related issues.
  • Experience with GTAW automation and exotic materials is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes and standards, including SEC I, II, V III, IX, and B31.3.
  • Understanding of weld planning, PQR, WPS, SWP, welding repair procedures, heat treatment, consumables estimation, and inventory management.
  • Experience with different welding processes, such as SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GMAW, ESSC, FCAW, groove welding, and weld overlays.
  • Knowledge of welder training and qualifications.
