Job Overview

We seek a highly experienced Linux administrator to fill this key role.

  • LVM concept: Create, extend and troubleshoot file systems for optimal server performance.
  • Multipath concept: Validate multipath, add LUNs and enable multipath configurations.
  • Ensure servers meet established performance specifications through proactive monitoring.
  • Evaluate and correct OS vulnerabilities by applying patches to maintain system integrity.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware and OS-level issues promptly.
  • Manage log rotation and file system usage, making adjustments as necessary to optimize resource allocation.
  • Implement changes at the OS level based on application and database team requirements to ensure seamless integration.
  • Comply with SLA guidelines and adhere to company processes while handling BAU tasks efficiently.
  • Manage services such as NTP, SSH, and AUTOFS to maintain server availability.
  • Troubleshoot OS-level issues during server setup to minimize downtime.
  • OS migration expertise is an asset in this role.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Linux administration.
  • Strong understanding of LVM, multipath and other related concepts.
  • Ability to evaluate and address OS vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
