Linux Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to manage our Linux operating systems. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for the daily administration and maintenance of Linux environments.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration, including managing RedHat 6/7/8 and CentOS systems. You should also possess general Unix/Linux administration skills and be familiar with ITIL and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining Linux systems, including software package installation, account management, file permissions, system tuning, Shell scripting, LVM, TCP/UDP, SNMP, DNS, NFS, ssh, sudo, syslog, performance troubleshooting, and system hardening.
  • Developing a solid understanding of TCP/IP networking in the OSI model in LAN/WAN environments.
  • Maintaining a detail-oriented approach and exhibiting excellent time management, communication, and presentation skills across varying organization levels.
  • Collaborating effectively in customer-facing situations when handling incident response.

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education/training.
  • A degree resulting in an associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems for monitoring.
  • Relevant certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CCENT, VMware VCP, AWS, Azure.

Preferred skills include cloud administration experience in AWS, Azure, Google.
