Compliance and Legal Expert

Job Overview:

  • We seek an experienced Compliance and Legal expert to lead legal, compliance, and regulatory functions for our operations in the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee internal compliance programs, controls, and processes.
  • Provide counsel on labor laws, company policies, vendor contracts, and cross-border operations.
  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, client contracts, and service-level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with US Staffing-related legal standards, including data protection, taxation implications, and employee classifications.
  • Act as the point of contact for regulatory authorities, legal advisors, and statutory bodies.
  • Partner with HR to ensure labor law compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, and implement necessary remediation plans.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions on legal and compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • A strategic thinker with strong judgment and discretion.
  • Deep understanding of corporate and labor law, with exposure to US and Canada business legalities.
  • Proven experience leading compliance, risk, and legal functions for mid-to-large organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influence over senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cross-border legal frameworks and client compliance requirements.
