Legally Compliant Contract Specialist

This role will focus on reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The successful candidate will work closely with senior legal counsel and other departments to help safeguard the company's legal interests and maintain required compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Review & Drafting:
- Review, draft and negotiate contracts, including but not limited to supplier agreements, vendor contracts, client agreements, service agreements and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Ensure contracts comply with company policies and applicable laws.
- Assist in developing standard contract templates and processes.
- Work closely with business teams and advise on day-to-day issues and concerns with client agreements.
- Monitor and ensure the company's adherence to regulatory and legal requirements across various jurisdictions.
- Assist in conducting internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Support the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and training materials.
- Advise on corporate governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide advice and recommendations on legal risks and compliance matters to internal stakeholders.
- Assist senior legal counsel and legal team in preparing legal opinions and reports.
- Assist in corporate governance matters, including board meeting minutes and regulatory filings.
- Support the legal team with dispute resolution, litigation, and other legal matters as required.
- Handle general legal administrative tasks, including maintaining contract databases and records.
The ideal candidate will have an LLB or equivalent degree, 4-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house experience, proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications, problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, good communication and strong interpersonal skills, and understanding of contract laws and commercial agreements.
