Strategic Business Leader for PLM Practice

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to drive our PLM practice forward.

The ideal candidate will possess deep domain expertise, strong leadership skills, excellent relationship management, and a solid understanding of business operations.

The successful Business Head will be responsible for building strategic capabilities, driving innovation, scaling delivery, and ensuring customer success.

  • Define the strategic roadmap for the PLM practice aligned with organizational goals.
  • Build, manage, and scale practice capabilities, including people, solutions, tools, and processes.
  • Establish technical and delivery excellence within the practice.
  • Strengthen the PLM practice by enhancing offerings, reusable assets, and capabilities.
  • Manage multiple projects with minimal dependency on top management.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to define and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including proposals, RFPs/RFIs, and customer presentations.
  • Drive account mining and expansion opportunities within key client accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong C-level relationships with strategic customers.
  • Understand financial KPIs and drive profitability and growth targets.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of all projects within the practice.
  • Implement robust governance frameworks, conduct regular reviews, and manage escalations.
  • Define and monitor delivery KPIs and SLAs to ensure consistent performance.
  • Manage services project delivery with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Identify future skill requirements and proactively build internal competencies through training, mentoring, and hiring.
  • Collaborate with HR to attract, retain, and develop top PLM talent.
  • Build a scalable organization supported by strong internal processes and IT systems.
  • Effectively manage the talent pyramid, including skills alignment, attrition control, and resource utilization.
  • Drive the creation of reusable IP, frameworks, accelerators, and proprietary solutions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, webinars, and industry events.
  • Stay ahead of emerging market trends, tools, technologies, and competitor strategies.
  • Bring a solution-focused mindset and operate with minimal personal constraints.
  • Be committed to continuous improvement and innovation in every aspect of practice management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 15-25 years of experience in IT services with at least 5 years in Project/Practice Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling practices or Centers of Excellence (COEs).
  • Strong background in one or more PLM platforms.
  • Deep delivery and people management experience across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and demonstrated executive presence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Engineering or Technology graduate; MBA preferred.
