Program Manager Job Description

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving high-priority, high-profile programs in our organization. You will work closely with engineering and product leaders to develop detailed plans with key milestones and goals, identify and mitigate risks, solve for dependencies, remove impediments, and ensure timely and smooth program launches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own successful delivery of large, high-impact programs by leveraging deep technical expertise.
  • Develop strong partnerships with engineering and product management leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical program objectives.
  • Drive teams and individuals in planning and executing roadmaps, releases, and work backlogs.
  • Ensure cross-team alignment on goals, priorities, roadmap, schedules, communications, and releases to all stakeholders.
  • Provide reporting on project status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • 8+ years of full-time technical program management experience within an engineering or technical team.
  • B.S./B.A. degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple major and concurrent projects/programs.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills combined with strong negotiation ability delivered with a high level of influence and professionalism.
