Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Baker to oversee the efficient operation of our Bakery Shop.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality bread products.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Operating the Bakery Shop daily according to established policies, ensuring smooth production and quality control of bread products.
  2. Assisting in preparing production forecasts and recording leftovers to minimize wastage and maintain food costs.
  3. Setting up and displaying bread products in various buffets and restaurants.
  4. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and cleanliness standards.
  5. Preparing for inspections by ensuring the bakery is clean and ready for inspection.
  6. Requisitioning and transporting necessary items from main stores to the bakery shop.
  7. Maintaining recipes and yields in accordance with company standards.
  8. Assisting with daily consumption reports and other administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budget, expenses, and revenue targets.
  • Ensure cost containment through proper use, handling, and maintenance of records, supplies, and equipment.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage staff to ensure optimal performance and quality standards.
  • Monitor workstations, assign duties, and evaluate staff performance to make recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Mentor and develop staff to strengthen their performance and prepare them for future advancement.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum three years' experience as a Baker in an upscale environment.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and food safety procedures.
  • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.
