Job SummaryThis is an exceptional opportunity to lead the procurement function for a solar PV module manufacturing company. As an Associate Vice President, you will develop and implement robust procurement strategies to drive significant cost optimization and foster strong supplier relationships.
- Strategic Procurement Management: Develop and implement procurement plans that align with production, R&D, and NPI cycles. Lead initiatives to reduce costs through supplier negotiation, alternate sourcing, and value engineering.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for critical raw materials such as solar cells, glass, EVA, backsheet, junction box, etc. Monitor supplier performance in terms of QCD and build strategic partnerships.
- Global Sourcing & Import Operations: Manage global sourcing of key components, including logistics, customs clearance, and import/export documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and mitigate geopolitical risks.
- Cost Optimization & Contracting: Drive year-on-year cost savings through effective procurement levers. Negotiate contracts, MoUs, and volume deals ensuring optimal pricing and delivery terms.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Planning, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Production teams to ensure seamless material availability. Collaborate with the Quality team for vendor audits and supplier development.
- Process & Technology: Implement digital procurement tools and analytics for real-time visibility and control. Standardize procurement processes and SOPs to enhance efficiency and compliance.
