Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MongoDB Admin to join our team. As a MongoDB Admin, you will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of MongoDB/Atlas Database projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and Maintain MongoDB/Atlas Database Projects: Ensure the smooth operation of MongoDB databases, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain Detailed Documentation: Document database design, architecture, and setups to facilitate future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Establish Backup and Recovery Procedures: Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss in case of system failures or disasters.
  • Administer MongoDB for Maximum Availability and Performance: Optimize database performance, ensure high availability, and maintain optimal database configuration.
  • Design and Implement Sharding and Indexing Strategies: Develop efficient data distribution and indexing strategies to improve query performance and scalability.
  • Configure and Monitor Replica Sets: Set up and manage replica sets to ensure high availability and data redundancy.
  • Perform Patch Upgrades: Regularly update MongoDB to ensure you have the latest security patches and features.
  • Design and Build Operational Infrastructure: Develop infrastructure to support databases, automating tasks where possible to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Establish Database Security Procedures: Develop and enforce strict security protocols to protect database access and sensitive data.
  • Create Users, Assign Roles, and Manage Permissions: Configure user access and permissions to ensure secure and controlled database usage.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends and Standards: Stay up-to-date with the latest MongoDB developments, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Provide Support to the User Community: Offer timely support and assistance to users through incident/problem management tools.
