Assistant Accountant Role

The key objective of an Assistant Accountant is to oversee the financial management and control of a company's operations. This includes ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and preparing timely financial statements.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ensuring adherence to tax filing deadlines, handling tax assessments, and maintaining Indian accounting standards.
  • Preparing transfer pricing documentation, coordinating with consultants, and assisting in foreign exchange transactions.
  • Developing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, providing MIS reports to senior management, and monitoring cash flows and banking activities.
  • Coordinating audits, strengthening internal controls, and conducting periodic inventory checks.

Candidate Requirements: A strong background in accounting and finance is required, preferably with a CA or Inter CA qualification. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in Accounts & Finance within Sales & Trading / Manufacturing companies, with expertise in Transfer Pricing, GST, Taxation, Budgeting, Forecasting, and MIS Reporting. Proficiency in Excel and SAP B1/SAP Hana is essential. Strong communication and analytical skills are also required.
