Business Manager

Job Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of our Oil Additives business in the Indian subcontinent by establishing strong relationships with customers and acting as a mediator between sellers/production companies and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve challenging targets for Oil Additives business in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, maintaining & growing existing business profitably.
  • Create quick and trustful relations with customers at different levels in the organization and acquire new customers.
  • Pick up new ideas and market needs, recommending smart solutions for our products.
  • Identify potential target Indian OEMs within the Automotive industry & industrial segment, promoting Evonik Oil Additive technologies/initiatives including extensive field trials.
  • Select, manage and evaluate agents and distributors to decide on the most effective sales channel for customers and segments.
  • Closely coordinate & cooperate within the global organization, supported by a spirit of teamwork.
  • Work with departments such as key account management, technical service, product management, customer service, supply chain, marketing services and business development to support strategic goals.
  • Run market research activities, performing market analysis, competitor analysis, product placement analysis and local or regional price level analysis.
  • Responsible for pursuing strategic goals of the business and identifying changes in business dynamics, marketplace opportunities, competitive threats, supply position etc.
  • Participate in fairs, conferences, customer events and support customer satisfaction surveys upon request.
  • Collect receivables and ensure adequate & effective allocation/usage of sales & technical resources.
