Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and direct a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve business objectives.
  2. Conduct high-quality risk assessments of individual accounts or portfolios based on schedule or modelling data.
  3. Enhance efficiency by continuously evaluating and improving the end-to-end catastrophe modeling process.
  4. Understand location information, prioritize high-value and high-risk locations.
  5. Format, scrub, and arrange data for model understanding, ensuring logical checks are in place.
  6. Accurately and timely account pricing with reference to service level agreements.
  7. Maintain exposure databases and analyze their completeness and accuracy.
  8. Support underwriters in all queries, exposure movement year-over-year.
  9. Contribute ideas for process enhancement and improvement.
  10. Understand and interpret model results, providing risk-specific observations to the underwriter.
  11. Manage work allocations, take care of governance, and handle internal and client calls.

Requirements:

  • 6 years' experience in CAT modelling / Treaty modelling preferably with insurance / reinsurance experience.
  • Exposure to AIR touchstone, SQL, MS office proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excel manipulation, functions at a foundation level is a must.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Insurance certification / Insurance projects in dissertation.
  • Advance Excel / VBA programming language.
  • Team management skills.
