About the Role

You will join a team of professionals working closely with senior investment managers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide valuation and monitoring services for portfolio investments. The role encompasses various aspects of valuation, including initiating and maintaining financial models, as well as preparing valuation memos across sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform valuation on a range of (illiquid) investments across various industries
  • Prepare and update valuation models, detailed memos, and presentations
  • Gather data pertinent to the investments/models independently
  • Address client queries in a clear and concise manner
  • Prioritize and execute multiple assignments, including ad-hoc projects, within tight deadlines
  • Adhere to high-quality standards and industry best practices

Skill Requirements

  • Sound experience in valuation and financial modeling (discounted cash flows, market multiples, market transactions) up to 2 years
  • Exposure to US/European primary and secondary markets
  • Strong Excel modeling and analytical skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to independently execute assignments under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a professional demeanor

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of third-party databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, Thomson Reuters, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with VBA macros
  • Sector knowledge - Real Estate, Shipping, Aircraft, and Oil & Gas

Academic Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent qualification in finance from a reputable institution
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Economics & CFA (Level II completed)
