We are seeking an experienced Patent Drafting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution with a law firm or IP services company.

The successful applicant will have a strong technical background (preferably in Computer Science/IT) and proven expertise in drafting patent applications and preparing office action responses across major jurisdictions, including the US, Europe, and India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patent Drafting & Prosecution
  • Draft high-quality patent applications in US, EP, and India.
  • Prepare and review responses to office actions from the USPTO, EPO, and Indian Patent Office.
  • Ensure all work meets jurisdiction-specific legal and technical requirements.
  • Project & Team Management
  • Manage and guide a team of patent professionals on drafting and prosecution assignments.
  • Review drafts prepared by team members, providing detailed feedback to improve quality.
  • Oversee project timelines, workload distribution, and delivery commitments.
  • Client Engagement
  • Collaborate with inventors, in-house counsel, and R&D teams to capture technical inventions.
  • Provide strategic advice on patentability, prosecution, and portfolio development.
  • Maintain strong client communication and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Quality & Process Development
  • Establish and implement best practices for patent drafting and prosecution.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members for professional growth.
  • Continuously improve processes for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering (preferred).
  • Law degree (desirable).
  • Patent agent qualification (must).
  • 5–8 years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution with a law firm or IP services company.
  • Hands-on experience in drafting patent applications and preparing responses to office actions for US, EP, and India.
  • Prior experience in managing patent professionals or leading projects.
