About the Role
You will have a unique opportunity to contribute to our cloud infrastructure build by demonstrating an innovative approach to engineering & systems practices.
This role requires you to act as a developer advocate & partner, representing developer needs and assisting developers in adopting cloud & emerging technologies.
As a cloud engineer, you will coach and mentor colleagues to ensure the entire team maintains a cutting-edge skillset.
Responsibilities:
- Design, Deploy, and Maintain Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable GCP infrastructure to support applications and services.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and operations, to architect and implement secure, efficient, and cost-effective solutions on GCP.
- Develop Best Practices: Develop and enforce best practices for infrastructure as code, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot Performance: Monitor and troubleshoot GCP infrastructure performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization.
- Implement Security Measures: Implement security measures and best practices to protect data and infrastructure, including identity and access management, network security, and data encryption.
- Automate Infrastructure Provisioning: Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Optimize Application Performance: Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration with GCP services.
- Stay Up-to-Date: Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP technologies, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong Experience with IAM Products: Strong hands-on experience with ForgeRock/Ping IAM products (AM, IDM, IG, DS).
- Deep Understanding of IAM Architecture: Deep understanding of IAM architecture, integration methods, REST APIs, and directory services.
- Experience in Java Development: Experience in Java development, Spring Boot, scripting, and secure coding standards.
- Proven Experience with Kubernetes Environments: Proven experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications in Kubernetes environments, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Exposure to DevOps Tools: Exposure to DevOps, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good Understanding of Authentication Concepts: Good understanding of authentication concepts, including MFA, SSO, Federation, OAuth, OIDC, Provisioning, Reconciliation, Proxy, and Directory Services.
- Knowledge of IAM Solutions in Cloud Environments: Knowledge of IAM solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and how IAM integrates within those platforms.
- Experience with API Security: Experience with API security and integration using JSON, REST, and web services.
