Job Opportunity: Database Tester

This is a 10-month contract position that can be performed remotely from India.

The ideal candidate will have immediate availability or a maximum notice period of 30 days.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Familiarity with trading applications and experience in the Treasury and Trading Domain would be beneficial.
  • Prior experience in handling/trading application testing is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and execute test cases for various application functionalities.
  2. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure the application's stability and accuracy.
  3. Identify, document, and track functional defects to facilitate prompt resolution.
  4. Collaborate with developers to resolve functional issues and improve the overall quality of the application.
  5. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability to enhance the application's maintainability.
  6. Develop and maintain automated functional test scripts to streamline testing processes.

Database Responsibilities:

  1. Design and execute test plans and test cases for database functionality, performance, and security to guarantee data integrity and system stability.
  2. Perform data validation, integrity checks, and data consistency testing to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
  3. Write and execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy and completeness.
  4. Identify, document, and track database-related defects to facilitate prompt resolution.
  5. Collaborate with database administrators and developers to resolve database issues and improve the overall quality of the database.
  6. Develop and maintain automated database test scripts to streamline testing processes.
  7. Monitor database performance and identify potential bottlenecks to optimize system efficiency.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of the application.
  2. Stay up-to-date with the latest testing technologies and trends to remain competitive in the industry.
  3. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to facilitate seamless collaboration and information sharing.
