Senior Network Engineer Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to lead the daily operation of our global network infrastructure. This is an opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to oversee a team responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining complex networks across multiple data centers, data center providers, and cloud platforms.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Network Design and Strategy: Develop innovative network designs and provide strategic direction in configuration, administration, maintenance, reliability, capacity planning, and support.
  • Networking Environment Deployment: Deploy robust networking environments by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards for a global enterprise environment.
  • MPLS/VPN/Telco/Integration Solutions: Design and implement MPLS/VPN/Telco/Integration solutions.
  • Reusable Designs and Systems: Build reusable designs and systems that promote scale, reliability, security, and efficiency.
  • Multi-Vendor and Multi-Protocol Networks: Manage multi-vendor and multi-protocol networks to ensure seamless integration.
  • Network Performance Maximization: Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; schedule upgrades; collaborate with network architects on network optimization.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Ensure that network design and implementation meets disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience and Expertise: At least 5+ years' experience and expert-level enterprise data center networking hardware (switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.).
  • Cloud Hosting Technologies: Experience with Cloud Hosting Technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure & RackSpace.
  • Server and Storage Infrastructure: Familiarity with server and storage infrastructure and how they integrate with the network.
  • Scripting Experience: Scripting experience such as shell scripting, Ansible, and Python.
  • Network Protocols and Hardware: A deep understanding of network protocols, network hardware, and software.
  • VoIP and Collaboration Technologies: Experience with VoIP and collaboration technologies.
  • Application Protocols: A solid understanding of application protocols.
  • IP Management and Network Alerting: IP management, password management, and network alerting.
  • Judgment and Decision-Making: Candidates are expected to exhibit good judgment in all cases and be comfortable making decisions.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible Work Schedule: Ability to work outside normal business hours when needed.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or similar experience.
