Job Overview:

Nomura's Structured Credit/Rates Trading team is a center of excellence that leads the way in price discovery and portfolio analysis/optimization techniques.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong commercial mentality, good written and oral communication skills, and an ability to collaborate internally across teams within Global Markets and across divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with sales, traders and structurers to enable new trades to be executed, post trade analysis, position keeping.
  • Convert financial market knowledge into understandable investment opinions and make relative value recommendations.
  • Remain current on market and commercial developments to help frame investment strategies.

Responsibilities include working in close tandem with global trading desks facing dynamic markets and aggressive deadlines. Additionally, the successful candidate will gain knowledge of relevant global financial products and models developed by the business.

They will also perform trade modelling, strategy selection, and performance analysis as well as build-up infrastructure to implement new models as well as maintain existing ones.
