Job Overview

The Tax Planning role plays a pivotal part in supporting the organization's objectives by adding value through strategic tax planning, preserving value by mitigating tax risks, and enhancing value by identifying opportunities.

Tax Efficiency Evolution Initiative:

  • Implementation of technological advancements with best-in-class automation practices
  • Efficiency drive in overall finance processes impacting tax and regulatory compliances

Leadership Qualities:

  • Team Management: Supervise and manage team performance, productivity, and adherence to SOP
  • Performance Monitoring: Maintain and evaluate individual and team performance metrics
  • Coaching and Training: Provide constant coaching, monitoring, and training to enhance team members' futuristic skill sets

Qualifications:

  • CA certification required
Responsibilities:

1. Advise business entities to protect profitability on additional cost of doing business in domestic and cross-border markets.

2. Ensure the monitoring of tax governance and alignment on tax positions adopted by engagement teams, IFS and finance teams.

3. Manage relationships with tax consultants and IFS functions to ensure effective compliance on tax and regulatory positions and policies to minimize possibilities of litigation.

4. Manage relationships with internal and external auditors to ensure effective completion of audit.

5. Ensure timely response to engagement consultation and adequate safeguard in the engagement documents from tax and regulatory perspectives.

6. Ensure application controls are integrated in financials and tertiary applications and regular review of the same to ensure effective controls.

7. Effective contribution to the firm's strategic projects ensuring the finance aspects are duly considered.

8. Responsible for actions to mitigate tax and regulatory risks on firm policies and business model.

9. Ensure accurate tax and regulatory reporting highlighting exceptions, and stay updated with changes in tax laws, evaluate the impact on operations and business model, and ensure the impact is factored in policies and the cost of operations.

10. Responsible for maintaining robust internal controls and regular review to prevent errors and fraud and ensure the integrity of tax and regulatory reporting.
