Backend Development Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled software architect to oversee the backend infrastructure for our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, and deploy scalable backend architectures from planning to deployment.
  • Develop user authentication and authorization systems using secure protocols like JWT, OTP-based login, and session management.
  • Implement logic, user discovery algorithms, and preference-based filters to enhance user experience.
  • Build real-time messaging systems using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Optimize MongoDB schema for high-performance matchmaking and chat use cases.
  • Secure API access through HTTPS and role-based access control.
  • Handle media uploads securely via cloud storage services like Firebase or AWS S3.
  • Implement analytics hooks for key user actions and behavior tracking, including events and funnels.
  • Establish admin APIs for user moderation, reporting, and flagging systems.
  • Monitor and maintain API performance, database health, error logs, and uptime metrics.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to set up CI/CD, monitoring, and auto-scaling backend infrastructure using tools like Docker, PM2, or cloud functions.
  • Manage environment configurations securely using secrets handling.
  • Design fallback systems to handle network failures, retries, and message queueing if needed.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Node.js, Firebase, and MongoDB.
  • Strong understanding of user-centric design principles.
  • Experience with real-time messaging systems and push notifications.
  • Familiarity with secure authentication and authorization protocols.
  • Knowledge of database optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with DevOps teams.
