Job Title: Software Project Manager

As a key leadership role, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Software Project Manager is accountable for managing and coordinating resources and processes to deliver software releases, while participating in defining the strategy for the product development team by driving initiatives that deliver on the vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work together with the Business Analyst to plan and execute projects, ensuring that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively.
  • Work closely with the Business Analyst and Sales to understand the system's function and non-functional requirements.
  • Demonstrate to clients the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements, and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules.
  • Create software development plans aligned with clients' evolving needs and market trends, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
  • Deliver architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency in line with business strategy.
  • Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architecture.
  • Develop and maintain current and planned state architectural blueprints.
  • Develop and maintain an aspirational architectural road map for the enterprise.
  • Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies.
  • Provide architectural direction to Enterprise Architects, Business Architects, and Solution Architects.
  • Develop architectural metrics and reports for the executive team, business, and IT management.
  • Deliver requisite program documentation, including program charters, schedules, requirements documents, specifications, design documents, and testing strategies.
  • Provide architectural consulting to programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate release and sprint planning.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development. Monitor individual employees' performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in any engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in leadership/managing software development projects for the manufacturing industry.
  • Automotive & Tyre Industry experience will be an added advantage.
  • Must have at least 10 to 15 years working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivering software products to market.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leadership, team mentoring, project management, customer governance, time management, and problem-solving.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated, Team player, Action-and-Results oriented.
  • Well organized, good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines.
  • Age up to 40 years

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must have experience in Python platform.
  • Knowledge in relational databases (MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle) Webservice - SOAP/REST, HTML, J/VB Scripts, XML.
  • Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile practices is a good to have. Additional knowledge on the following is added advantage:
    • Hand-on experience in Ignitiono Microsoft Technologies like .Net (C#, VB), SSRS, SSIS.
    • Knowledge on OPC & MQTT.
    • Experience with managing the development of SaaS and cloud-based applications.
    • Experience in using project management tool (Zoho).
    • Willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues.
