About the Job

We are seeking a skilled PLM Windchill Administrator to support setup, administration, and monitoring of Windchill environments while contributing to specific solution architecture tasks within the PLM infrastructure.

This role requires a balance of operational expertise and focused technical knowledge in areas such as database management, scripting, and troubleshooting.

You will have the opportunity to work across core Windchill administration responsibilities while contributing to specialized, well-defined tasks that support the overall PLM landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Windchill base and user administration, including account setup, access rights, and daily system management.
  • Manage operations and monitoring of Windchill environments to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Configure, operate, and monitor CAD & non-CAD workers (Creo, BricsCad, Office Workers).
  • Support Windchill interface landscape operations and troubleshooting.
  • Execute system setup, environment cloning, preparation, and rehosting (creation of development and non-productive environments using KB methodology).
  • Manage Solr indexing operations, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and bulk reindexing.
  • Administer file servers and vaults for secure and efficient data storage.
  • Perform queue management to optimize system efficiency.
  • Contribute to solution architecture tasks (~50% of the role) within PLM infrastructure for specialized areas.
  • Provide focused expertise in modules/processes such as database basics, scripting, and targeted troubleshooting.
  • Adapt to evolving requirements and take ownership of specialized tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience in PLM Windchill administration and support.
  • Strong knowledge of system setup, configuration, monitoring, and rehosting.
  • Familiarity with databases, scripting, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Solr indexing, file server/vault administration, and queue management.
  • Able to work independently on well-defined specialized tasks while supporting broader administration responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Open-mindedness and adaptability to embrace new tasks and technologies.
