About the Role:

  • Our Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing construction work daily to ensure it aligns with approved plans, specifications, and method statements.
  • The role involves conducting regular site inspections to identify any quality or safety issues and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • We are looking for a candidate who can verify that all materials used on the project meet the required standards and are properly stored and handled.
  • As our ideal candidate, you will ensure that workers follow approved method statements and standard operating procedures for construction work.
  • The position requires documenting all inspections and tests conducted on-site, maintaining accurate records of construction progress, materials used, and labor hours.
  • Collaboration with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and sub-contractors, is essential to keep everyone informed of construction progress and resolve any issues.
  • The role involves monitoring quality standards in line with QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) guidelines.
  • Availability of materials, equipment, and labor on-site must be ensured by the successful candidate.
  • Assisting in some responsibilities of a quality engineer, guiding working agencies on the available work front, is also a part of this role.
  • Inspections and checks for all quality-related procedures on-site must be conducted by the candidate, ensuring activities are performed as per the approved method of statement, including the closure of non-compliance reports.
  • Daily inspections and tests may be necessary to achieve the required construction quality per drawings and specifications.
  • Coordination with contractor representatives and site engineers for inspection adherence and non-compliance report closure is crucial.
  • Collaborating with contractor quality engineers to submit material submittals with detailed quality information is also an important aspect of this role.
  • Responsibility for the quality and workmanship of every activity is expected from the candidate, along with thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction, including structural fabrication/erection, equipment erection/alignment, piping fabrication/erection, measurement verification, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordination with the civil department to ensure equipment readiness for erection and release for grouting after alignment is another key responsibility.
  • Monitoring policies and procedures and reporting areas for improvement is also essential.
  • Checking P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram), isometric drawings, MOC (Method of Construction) for equipment & piping, and assembly work against approved GA (General Arrangement) drawings, ensuring their adequacy, is a critical task.
  • Overseeing insulation activities and work front release after the hydrostatic test of piping/equipment is also a part of this role.
  • Maintaining good professional relationships with clients and proactively resolving major site-related issues is expected from the successful candidate.
