Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Technician to manage the medical device turnaround process.

The role involves disinfection, electronics checks, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure every device is ready for safe redeployment after each rental cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disinfection and Cleaning
    • Perform regular disinfection and cleaning of medical devices according to standard operating procedures.
  • Device Inspection and Repair
    • Inspect devices for functional issues after patient usage and replace components and consumable parts as needed.
  • Quality Control and Maintenance
    • Conduct routine quality control checks and maintain calibration logs to ensure optimal device performance.
Troubleshooting and Basic Repairs
  • Electronic Issue Diagnosis
    • Diagnose and repair electronic issues with medical devices, including control units.
  • Coordination with R&D Teams
    • Coordinate with R&D teams for advanced repairs or escalations.
  • Software Updates
    • Perform software updates as required to ensure device functionality.
Device Deployment Support
  • Device Pickups and Installations
    • Responsible for device pickups and installations at hospitals/home-care centers when needed.
  • Device Deployment and Training
    • Deploy new devices or rental devices as per customer requirements.
    • Provide training on device usage to nursing staff or caregivers during deployments.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Service Logs and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate service logs, device usage hours, complaints, and interventions.
  • Monthly Reports
    • Prepare monthly reports for operations and product teams.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience
    • 1-3 years of experience in servicing medical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, suction machines, ventilators, patient monitors).
  • Skills
    • Hands-on skills in basic electronics troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
    • Familiarity with hospital infection control practices is an asset.
