Director of Finance and Accounting Job Description

VARITE-inc seeks a senior-level finance leader to manage accounting operations in India.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial activities of staffing and/or consulting companies in India.
  • Lead subsidiary accounting, oversee inter-company transactions, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, employees, and consultants to resolve queries and payment follow-ups.
  • Develop process documents and ensure team compliance.
  • Liaise with client operational departments.

The ideal candidate will have:

Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in accounting, taxation, corporate finance, payroll, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, benefits, and multi-currency accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally ERP software.
  • Experience managing payroll for 1000+ employees.
  • Excellent communication skills and business acumen to understand client needs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel (advanced pivot tables and macros), MS Power BI, and MS Sharepoint.

Candidates should hold a degree in commerce/accounting/finance from a reputable university and be a qualified chartered accountant, preferably.
