Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Planning:
    • Develop lesson plans aligned with international benchmarked curriculum standards.
    • Connect the learning area to current global scenarios.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy to create effective lessons.
    • Clearly define teaching objectives and outline how they will be implemented.
  • Teaching Techniques:
    • Design instructions to encourage independent thinking among students.
    • Use various teaching methods to cater to different learners.
    • Create educational materials, including reading resources and activities, using visual and audio aids.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic, non-academic, and social support to students as needed.
    • Conduct remedial sessions for students when required.
    • Ensure students acquire relevant knowledge, skills, and understanding.
    • Implement project-based and hands-on learning strategies to foster critical thinking and collaboration.
  • Assessment:
    • Administer student assessments according to the approved curriculum.
    • Monitor and record student progress, issuing grades, reports, and report cards.
    • Assign work, correct, and mark student assignments.
    • Adjust teaching strategies based on individual student progress.
  • Culture Building:
    • Create a positive classroom culture.
    • Incorporate our school's theme into teaching and learning.
    • Establish and enforce rules to manage student behavior.
    • Maintain discipline in line with school policies.
    • Support the school community to promote its vision and values.
  • Professional Growth:
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents to support student well-being.
    • Organize and contribute to extra-curricular activities, such as assemblies, events, and competitions.
    • Plan and execute educational activities, ensuring student safety.
    • Drive outstanding student achievement and support colleagues in this effort.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or relevant field.
  • Experience in teaching IGCSE or other international curricula is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the IGCSE framework, assessment methods, and syllabi is essential.
