Market Risk Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as a Market Risk Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing specialized risk management functions within the Enterprise Risk Management practice.

  • Establish and Monitor Policies: Develop and implement policies and guidelines on enhanced monitoring of Treasury/Investment/ALM/Liquidity risk.
  • Valuation and Monitoring: Provide independent mid-office monitoring support on NOP, Fixed income, FIG, Derivatives, limit monitoring, and hedge effectiveness.
  • Capital Charge and Counterparty Risk: Implement and calculate Capital charge and Counterparty Risk Charge.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct technical analysis of Equities, Bonds, and Money market funds.
  • Limit Monitoring: Perform all types of limit monitoring with respect to treasury activities as prescribed in Internal and regulatory policies.
  • MTM Reconciliation: Reconcile MTM with counterparty banks for derivatives deals undertaken and make/respond margin calls in term of CSA arrangement.
  • Reporting and Controls: Prepare Regulatory and internal daily and periodical reports and Board notes on accurate and timely submission.
  • Risk Mitigation: Enhance methodologies for counterpart credit risk measures like PFE, CVA etc., and review banks' new products related to Market risk.
Liquidity Risk and ALM:
  • LCR and NSFR Monitoring: Monitor and simulate LCR/NSFR.
  • ALM Products Monitoring: Robust monitoring and risk reporting on Maturity of ALM products.
  • MAL/SAL Limit Setting: Set limits for MAL/SAL using statistical modelling techniques.
  • Interest Rate Risk: Generate Interest rate risk on bank's book basis IRRBB or via Sensitivity Report analysis like NII and EVE.
  • Behavioral Studies: Good understanding of Behavioral studies of ALM products.
  • System Implementation: Implementation experience of ALM/Market Risk system from end to end.
  • Pricing and Hedging: Pricing/Hedging of banking products across asset classes (Rates, FX, Bonds).
  • Stress Testing: Well versed with Stress testing of Liquidity and Interest rate risk.
  • Audit Queries: Handling Audit queries and providing active assistance in audit.
Requirements

We are looking for 6-8 years of relevant work experience for Middle East banks. The candidate should have a good understanding of behavioral studies of ALM products and implementation experience of ALM/Market Risk system from end to end. We expect the candidate to be well-versed with stress testing of liquidity and interest rate risk and able to handle audit queries and provide active assistance in audit.
