Senior Strategic Leader - Programme Delivery

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Strategic Leader to drive our programme delivery efforts. This critical role will oversee the design, implementation, and scaling of impactful initiatives.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • (A) Programme Planning & Strategy - Collaborate with stakeholders to develop long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes, identifying opportunities for innovation and collaboration to enhance impact.
  • (B) Programme Management - Oversee key programme areas to ensure timely, high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals, providing guidance to project teams to strengthen operational efficiency and responsiveness.
  • (C) Partnership Development - Foster partnerships with implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations to reinforce programme outcomes, representing us in external forums as required.
  • (D) Team Support & Development - Offer mentoring support to mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles, promoting a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.
  • (E) Monitoring & Learning - Establish effective systems for tracking progress, capturing lessons, and adapting strategies, supporting the preparation of reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
  • (F) Financial & Compliance Oversight - Contribute to budget planning and monitor utilisation in assigned programme areas, ensuring adherence to internal processes and compliance frameworks.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related field.

Experience: At least 12–15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including experience in leadership positions.

Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills, ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships, excellent communication and analytical abilities, demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results, ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts.
