Plant and Machinery Manager

The role of Senior Plant and Machinery Supervisor involves overseeing personnel and managing various aspects of plant and machinery. Key responsibilities include the maintenance, operation, and erection of tower cranes, hoists, and placer booms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Erect, dismantle, maintain, and operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Develop methodologies for equipment operation and preparation of checklists to ensure optimal productivity and minimize downtime.
- Manage spare parts inventory and optimize costs by sourcing plant and machinery operators and mechanics.
- Generate regular reports on mechanical performance and oversee site records of equipment, including logbooks and preventive maintenance records.
- Estimate monthly budgets for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitor them closely.
- Train personnel on equipment usage and maintenance procedures to ensure maximum availability at sites.
- Implement service schedules based on hours/Kms running to achieve minimum break-downs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 10 years of experience in plant and machinery management.
