Job Title: Aerodynamic Design Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Aerodynamic Design Specialist to support the development of aerodynamic systems for aerospace and defence platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design airframes, wings, control surfaces, and propeller/rotor systems.
  • Conduct advanced CFD simulations for lift, drag, pressure distribution, and flow visualization to optimize aerodynamic performance.
  • Support wind tunnel tests, data collection, and correlation with simulation results to ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with structural and propulsion teams to integrate aerodynamic-structural-propulsion aspects.
  • Analyze stability & control characteristics for various flight regimes to enhance overall system performance.
  • Contribute to performance prediction (stall speed, glide ratio, climb rate, endurance, etc.) by leveraging expertise in aerodynamics and fluid dynamics.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for design reviews and meetings.
  • Stay updated with cutting-edge aerodynamic research and methods relevant to UAV and defence applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and fluid dynamics.
  • Proficiency in CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, XFOIL, etc.).
  • Experience with CAD software such as CATIA, Fusion 360.
  • Familiarity with wind tunnel testing procedures and instrumentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
